Inguinal hernia repair, including open surgery and minimally invasive surgery, is performed in the following steps: 1. Find the defective area and return the loose, protruding hernia, including intestinal canal and fat, into the abdominal cavity; 2. Place the patch into the weak or defective area. The patch is a mesh-like structure, and after being placed into the body, the body’s own tissue can grow through the mesh into the patch and become integrated with it. The patch does not need to be removed and is similar to adding a layer of muscle to the inguinal region, thus strengthening the inguinal region and preventing the inguinal hernia from protruding again.
