Classification and staging and grading of hemorrhoids

The hemorrhoids can be divided into 3 types: external hemorrhoids, internal hemorrhoids, and mixed hemorrhoids External hemorrhoids are also divided into: thrombosed external hemorrhoids, varicose external hemorrhoids, inflammatory external hemorrhoids, and connective tissue external hemorrhoids Internal hemorrhoids are graded in stages: Stage I: there is a vermillion varicose elevation above the dentate line, no mucosal change, the hemorrhoid is non-tipped, soft, and easy to bleed. Stage II: The hemorrhoid increases in size, has a tip, is purple-red in color, has a rough and thickened mucous membrane, and comes out of the anus when defecating, but after the contraction of the anal sphincter, the hemorrhoid retracts back into the anus. This stage is equivalent to second-degree hemorrhoids. Stage III: The hemorrhoid mass comes out of the anus during defecation, there is mucous membrane erosion, and the hemorrhoid mass cannot retract into the anus after defecation, you need to use hand help to push the hemorrhoid mass back, this stage is equivalent to the third degree hemorrhoid. Stage IV: The hemorrhoid block not only prolapses out of the anus during defecation, but labor, exertion, coughing and sneezing can cause prolapse and mix with varicose veins at the anal skin margin, which is equal to mixed hemorrhoids.
