Can I have laser surgery for myopia?

Myopia can be treated surgically, but there are strict indications for this surgery, and it is not something that can just be done. Generally, it is required to be at least 18 years old and myopia stable for 2 years before laser surgery treatment can be considered. Before surgery, a detailed eye examination is required to exclude active eye inflammation, such as keratitis and conjunctivitis, the thickness of the cornea should be at least greater than 450 microns, and the degree of myopia is generally required to be within 1200 degrees. Only if the above conditions are met can laser surgery treatment be considered. There are two types of surgical procedures in common use: the first one is quasi-molecular laser surgery and the second one is femtosecond laser surgery. Femtosecond laser surgery is currently used more often because the incision is smaller and less traumatic, so the post-operative reaction is lighter and the recovery is faster.
