Perineal wound care for mothers in normal labor

  Postpartum care matters for perineal tears or lateral incision wounds: First, be sure to pay attention to perineal cleanliness, diligently wash perineum with warm water to avoid wound contamination.  Second, a reasonable diet, strengthen nutrition, and promote wound healing. If you have anemia and other complications, be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions to take medication on time.  Third, individual patients with deep perineal wounds must follow the instructions to gradually increase diet and prevent constipation.  Fourth, the wound is found to be abnormal and followed up. Once you find redness and swelling in the wound, bleeding and pus, or even sutures that are not absorbed, be sure to come to the hospital, either to your supervising doctor or directly to the obstetrician in the delivery room (fourth floor of the inpatient department) to deal with the wound.
