Dental Implant Treatment Procedure

1.Examination and design The physician asks the patient in detail about the necessary general and oral examination, takes X-ray films to understand the quality and quantity of the bone in the lost tooth area, in order to determine whether the patient is suitable for dental implantation to provide the best treatment according to the patient’s requirements. Under local anesthesia, the implant will be inserted into the bone bed of the tooth and sutured tightly, and the suture will be removed after 7-10 days. 3.Bone healing period After implant placement, the bone healing period usually takes 6 months for the upper jaw and 3 months for the lower jaw. If bone grafting or other surgeries are performed at the time of implantation, the bone healing period will be extended accordingly. Connecting the healing abutment When the implant is combined with the jawbone, a healing abutment is connected to the implant so that the soft tissue can be shaped within three weeks. 5. Completing the restoration When the soft tissue cuff is formed, the doctor replaces the healing abutment with a permanent abutment, takes an impression, designs the restored tooth, and once the crown or bridge is ready, you are ready to wear the tooth supported by the implant.
