Will oil burns leave scars?

Whether oil burns will leave scars or not needs to be judged according to the degree of the burns, and cannot be generalized. Clinically, burns are mainly divided into three degrees, degree I burns tend to be mild, the scalded skin will be red, obvious swelling and pain, generally will not leave scars; degree II burns are deeper damage, the skin blisters, the bottom of the blister is red or white, filled with clear viscous liquid, painful to touch, sensitive, pressure will turn white; degree III burns are serious damage, the surface of the burns can be white and soft or even black, the hair in the scalded area is easy to pull out. Excluding scarring and post-burn infection, more serious burns of degree II or higher will leave scars and require appropriate measures. It is recommended to flush with plenty of cool water after being scalded by oil. If the scald is serious, you need to go to a hospital burn unit for professional surgical treatment in a timely manner.
