Patients with fever should not avoid fever clinics

Due to the attack of several rainstorms, the number of patients with colds and fevers has increased recently. Influenced by the SARS outbreak epidemic in hospitals in 2003, many people have palpitations when they mention going to hospitals, especially the current epidemic of avian influenza disease around the world, which makes cold and fever patients avoid going to the hospital gates for fear of being infected with another febrile infectious disease, such as SARS, avian influenza disease, influenza A, etc., when they are arranged to visit the fever clinics in hospitals. After the SARS outbreak and epidemic triggered thinking, government departments at all levels in China issued a series of guidelines and policies to deal with public emergencies, and each regular hospital also formulated a series of systems and strictly enforced them regarding the control of infectious disease in-hospital infection. The opening of fever clinics has enabled patients with fever to be seen more safely, conveniently and quickly, and to receive more attentive services and timely specialist treatment. Government authorities have certain requirements for the location, layout, ventilation equipment and medical staffing of fever clinics, and strictly monitor the disinfection of air and items in fever clinics. Therefore, patients with cold and fever should feel free to visit fever clinics whenever possible. If a fever clinic is contraindicated and not seen in a timely manner, the condition will likely evolve into pneumonia or more serious complications.
