What is the Chinese medicine treatment for diabetes mellitus

Diabetes mellitus, also known as thirst disease, treatment follows the principles of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxins in the body), tonifying qi and nourishing blood (tonifying qi and blood), and adjusting yin and yang (adjusting yin and yang balance in the body), including prescription therapy and acupuncture therapy.
1. Formulas: Diabetic patients have different physiques. For patients with deficiency of yin and yang (deficiency of yin and yang), they should be treated by nourishing yin and tonifying yang (nourishing yin fluid and tonifying yang), and they often use Chinese wolfberries and Chinese yam, such as Jin Gui Kidney qi Pills. Patients with deficiency of kidney yin (deficiency of yin fluid in the kidney) should be treated with nourishing yin and solidifying the kidney (nourishing yin fluid and caring for kidney qi), and commonly used Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata and Rhizoma Dioscoreae, such as the formula of Six-flavored Dihuang Pill.
2. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment: Acupuncture treatment takes Haiquan, Lung Yu, Liver Yu, Spleen Yu, Stomach Yu, Sanjiao Yu and Kidney Yu as the main acupuncture points, supplemented with Quchi, Waiguan, Ashigaru, Fenglong, Sanyinjiao and other acupuncture points to assist in the treatment of the symptoms.
Diabetic patients are advised to monitor their blood glucose regularly, use medication and needles under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner, and consult a doctor promptly if there is any discomfort. Do not self-administer medication and acupuncture operations.
