The best time to repair scars

The best time to repair scars is early in their formation, the sooner the better, and a series of dispositions are best performed as soon as the trauma appears. The formation of scars is actually a way for the body to repair trauma. The skin is divided into epidermis and dermis, and as long as the injury involves the dermis it will definitely leave a scar. The process of scar formation is like this: when the skin is injured, the first step of the body’s response is to stop bleeding, where platelets gather around the wound to stop bleeding, and then after a series of vascular and fibrous tissue proliferation, collagen is formed to fill the wound, leading to scar generation. This process is closely related to the inflammatory response to the wound and minimizing the effects of the inflammatory response is paramount. Therefore, from the moment the injury appears, we need to intervene, such as thorough removal of foreign bodies from the wound, prevention of wound infection, trimming of the wound, and cosmetic suturing.
