Can you go steam during menstruation?

  It is not recommended to go for steam during menstruation. Steaming during menstruation is most likely to lead to excessive menstruation and prolonged menstruation leading to anemia.  Sweating is actually the use of the sweat method in Chinese medicine treatment. The benefit of the sweat method is that it promotes metabolism, however, the use of the sweat method has its indications. For example, during menstruation the body is weaker than other periods because of vaginal bleeding, so it is not suitable to use the sweat method. In Chinese medicine, it is important that the qi and blood are the same source, if the blood is weak, the corresponding qi will also become very weak, excessive sweating when the qi and blood are weak is not too good for the body. Often the symptoms of headache, dizziness, dark eyes, palpitations and shortness of breath can easily occur. Some people will even experience hypoglycemia, which can lead to shock in severe cases.  The reason why you can’t sweat during menstruation is also because: after sweating, the pores will be open and the couples will be relaxed. If this is the case, evil qi will easily invade and cause pain or soreness throughout the body.  According to the reasons mentioned above, steaming during menstruation is not good for women’s health. So it is best to wait until three to five days after the menstrual period is clean before you do the steaming, which is safe and secure, has no major side effects on the body, and is beneficial to the functional stability of the body’s organs.
