Mycosis fungoides is the abandoned name for what is now called vulvovaginal pseudomycosis. Vulvovaginal pseudomycosis can be soaked in soda for 5 to 7 days and is often used as an adjunct to antifungal medications for vulvovaginal pseudomycosis.
The causative agent of vulvovaginal pseudohyphae is Pseudohyphae albicans, and soda can inhibit the growth of Pseudohyphae by creating an alkaline environment. Soda is usually used in sitz baths for 5 to 10 minutes a day for 5 to 7 days, taking care to avoid vaginal douching. Soda should not be used for long periods of time to avoid disrupting the normal vaginal environment and causing further infection.
Vulvovaginal pseudomycosis can be selected Clotrimazole preparations, miconazole preparations and mycotoxin preparations, such as local treatment, the use of itraconazole, fluconazole and other oral treatment.
