Myeloma generally refers to multiple myeloma. The main causes of chest pain are multiple myeloma invading the ribs, causing destructive bone pain and multiple myeloma invading the pleura, stimulating the nerves and producing pain. 1. Destructive bone pain: myeloma cells proliferate in bone marrow, stimulate osteoblasts evolved from stromal cells to overexpress interleukin 6, activate osteoclasts, leading to osteoporosis and osteolytic destruction, and bone pain is the most common symptom, which is most common in the lumbosacral region, and ribs can be involved as well. 2. Neuropathic pain: in the late stage of multiple myeloma, myeloma cells invade the pleura, stimulate the nerves of pleura, and cause chest pain. Chest pain in multiple myeloma should be consulted in time to find out the cause and treated under doctor’s guidance, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
