Patient: congenital Checked Don’t be hoarse Doctor: Vocal fold groove diagnosis and treatment is relatively complex. Most simple vocal fold sulci are due to dysplasia of the vocal fold lamina propria, which mainly manifests as hoarseness with articulatory fatigue from adolescence onwards, and the degree of hoarseness and laryngoscopic performance varies depending on the type of disease. The degree of hoarseness and laryngoscopic manifestations vary depending on the type of disease. Treatment also varies according to the different staging, hoarseness grading, stroboscopic manifestations, and the patient’s vocal needs (see our related papers and articles). For more severe staging, we currently treat with vocal fold sutures or autologous fascial filling.
