What is the AIDS P24 antigen?

The AIDS P24 antigen is an antigen specific to AIDS patients and can be tested for the presence of the P24 antigen in the patient’s body to determine if the patient is infected with AIDS. In fact, there are already reagents for this test in China and around the world, and the more commonly used test in China is the quadruple test. The four-generation HIV test detects the presence of the P24 antigen and antibodies to HIV, which are usually detected in the body of the infected person about 2-3 weeks after infection, thus making a clear diagnosis. For faster testing, HIV-RNA can be detected in the infected person’s body about 7-10 days after infection for diagnosis.
