Can Pneumonic Pseudotumor be cured?

Pneumatoid pseudotumor that is not cancerous can be cured by surgical treatment. Pneumatoid pseudotumor is mainly composed of fibroblasts, histiocytes, inflammatory cells and blood vessels. It is a proliferative tumor-like lesion caused by repeated stimulation of inflammation and belongs to a kind of benign lesion, which can be cured by surgery and other reasonable treatments, and the prognosis is generally good. However, since it is difficult to distinguish this lesion from lung cancer before surgery and there is a possibility of cancer, timely treatment and pathologic biopsy are recommended to further clarify whether there is cancer. CT, X-ray and other imaging aids can help to detect pneumonic pseudotumor. Surgical treatment should be based on the principle of preserving normal lung tissue as much as possible, and lobectomy is feasible if the lesion is deep and extensive. It is recommended that patients diagnosed with pseudotumor pneumoniae should go to the Department of Thoracic Surgery of regular hospitals for detailed consultation.
