High blood uric acid and eating soy products may be related. High blood uric acid may be caused by eating too many purine-rich soy products, but other high-purine foods and diseases can cause high uric acid as well. There are two reasons for high blood uric acid; one reduces uric acid excretion and the second increases uric acid production. If too much high purine food is consumed, it can lead to high blood uric acid. Excessive intake of some purine-rich soy products such as soybeans and black beans may cause high blood uric acid. Other causes such as reduced renal tubular secretion, glomerular filtration, inborn purine metabolism disorder will cause primary hyperuricemia and leukemia, chronic kidney disease and other diseases will be secondary secondary hyperuricemia. It is recommended that patients with high blood uric acid go to the rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals, and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
