Is AIDS the same as syphilis?

AIDS and syphilis are not the same. Although AIDS and syphilis are both sexually transmitted diseases and are transmitted in basically the same way. What AIDS and syphilis have in common is that they can cause multi-organ damage after invading the body, but the pathogens of AIDS and syphilis are different: syphilis is infected by the syphilis spirochete, and AIDS is infected by the HIV virus. If left untreated, both AIDS and syphilis can cause multi-organ damage and thus endanger life. However, if treated, syphilis can be completely cured with penicillin-based drugs, while AIDS can only be cured by antiviral drugs that inhibit the replication of the virus. This is because after HIV invades the body, it integrates with human cells and is difficult to be completely removed from the body. The goal of treatment is to suppress the replication of the virus to the maximum extent possible and to rebuild or maintain the immune function.
