How much does vision correction surgery cost?

Vision correction surgery, or refractive surgery, is a clinical procedure to correct refractive errors. The price varies depending on the region and the type of surgery. There are two main types of refractive surgery: 1. The main types of refractive surgery are excimer laser subepithelial keratomileusis (LASEK), semi-femtosecond laser surgery (FS-LASIK), and full femtosecond laser small incision lens extraction (SMILE), etc. In addition, the surgery can be personalized according to each patient’s situation. With the use of femtosecond lasers, the cost of surgery has also increased to some extent, ranging from roughly $5,000 to $15,000. 2. For intraocular refractive surgery, the latest technology is the posterior chamber IOL implantation (ICL implantation for short), which involves the implantation of an IOL into the eye while preserving the lens of the eye. In addition, the ICL IOL needs to be “customized” according to each patient’s refractive status, and as the ICL IOL is updated and improved, the cost increases. The total cost is about $30,000 to $35,000. Therefore, the cost of refractive surgery varies depending on the type of surgery and the region.
