  Pu Di Lan Anti-inflammatory Tablets is a proprietary Chinese medicine preparation composed of heat-clearing and detoxifying effects of Chinese herbs, such as Scutellaria baicalensis, Dandelion, Bitter Dioscorea and Panax notoginseng, which is mainly used clinically for the treatment of boils, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc. In 2018, the State Drug Administration’s Document No. 77 required manufacturers to revise the prescription drug instructions of Pu Di Lan Anti-inflammatory Preparation to improve the description of adverse reactions in the drug’s instructions that are still unclear, etc. Adverse drug reactions of the drug are now found to include: (1) digestive system: nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, diarrhea; (2) nervous system: weakness, dizziness, etc.; (3) skin or accessory injuries: rash, itching and other allergic reactions.  Also added contraindications, such as allergy to the product and the ingredients contained in it is prohibited. The precautions are also clearly marked: 1. use with caution in pregnant women; 2. use with caution in allergic persons; 3. use with caution in cases of abdominal pain, warmth, diarrhea and other spleen and stomach deficiencies. Finally, it is recommended to avoid spicy and irritating food while taking this medicine; those with heavy sores or localized softness and pus, or those with pus in the tonsils and generalized high fever should go to the hospital; if the symptoms are not relieved after 3 days of taking the medicine, go to the hospital.
