How long does it take to recover from viral bronchitis?

Generally viral bronchitis may take 1-2 weeks to recover slowly, but clinical examinations such as blood tests and chest CT examinations must be recommended and antiviral drugs should be applied for treatment. It is recommended to take more rest, eat a reasonable diet and eat light food. Viral bronchitis is caused by infection with viruses, such as the common rhinovirus or respiratory syncytial virus, and the special coxsackie virus. However, such viruses are more common in children and infants because they have poorer resistance and are easily infected with these viruses. In adults, it is relatively rare, but adults are also susceptible to such viruses because of the decrease in resistance after exertion. The virus starts in the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract and gradually spreads to the lower respiratory tract, leading to bronchitis. The symptoms of bronchitis caused by the virus include cough, fever, and coughing up sputum.
