This can occur in myopic people who have no loss of vision, but simply a 100-degree reduction in myopia. Myopia is divided into true myopia and pseudo-myopia. Pseudo-myopia is a form of regulatory myopia formed when the ciliary muscles are not relaxed in time due to prolonged near eye use, leaving the eyes in a state of constant tension. After a period of rest, the ciliary muscle is in a relaxed state, and myopia is likely to decline or disappear. In the case of true myopia, even after rest, there will be no decrease or disappearance of the degree, so it is normal for people with pseudomyopia to have a degree lower or higher than one hundred degrees.
