How to treat burn scars?

Patient: Description of condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Hello doctor! My child is four years old, burned in April this year, discharged after 12 days of healing in Cangzhou Central Hospital, now there are almost no protruding scars on the face, but there are color marks; there are scars protruding from the root of the fingers of the right hand, with slight adhesions at the root of the fingers, and scars on the back of the left hand and at the tiger’s mouth, but none of them now affect the function of hand movement. I have not had the scars examined or operated on, and I have been using silicone cream (scar relief), applying it twice a day and massaging and rubbing it for a few minutes, with some but not significant results. Please ask the doctor: Should the child continue to apply the cream as a conservative treatment now? Or should I proceed to surgery? How long will the surgery take? How much will it cost? If the surgery is done, can it be done at your hospital? As parents, we are very confused about this, thank you for your help. Burn Surgery: If it does not affect the function, it is best to treat it conservatively, because the child is growing, and there will be adhesions after surgery for some time. As the scarring of both hands is serious, the function is affected. You need surgery as soon as possible, otherwise your daily life will not change. If you delay too long, it will affect the bone development and cause deformity. The face can be treated conservatively with some anti-scar medication.
