There are no specific technical statistics on this issue, but according to our clinical experience, it is best to wear it day and night for 1 month after surgery, with intermittent breaks in between, such as taking 2 hours off to facilitate soft tissue reattachment and blood return and reduce swelling. 1 month later, it can be worn at night, preferably for more than 3 months. We clinically found that the long-term wearing of elastic headgear is beneficial for facial contouring and skin rejuvenation. When using elastic bandages, different width bandages should be used depending on the location. Generally, small (7cm wide), medium (10cm wide) and large (13cm wide) elastic bandages are used for upper limbs, below the knee and above the knee; the method of wrapping depends on the purpose of use. The elastic bandage used to support the circulation should be used to support the vein, offset the increased venous pressure, and not too much pressure to restrict the venous return or arterial blood supply as the principle. The elastic bandage must be flat and wrinkle-free after wrapping, especially in the joint area. If the knee joint activities, the bandage is easy to wrinkle, so that the popliteal fossa pressure, as on the tourniquet. The degree of tightness of the wrap should also be appropriate, and should be wrapped to feel comfortable after the self. Wrapping elastic bandage should be carried out every morning before getting up, if the patient has got up, then the patient should be allowed to recumbent, elevate the limb, so that the venous blood emptying, and then wrapping. The bandage should be started from the foot and gradually wrapped upward until the desired height. During the wrapping process, the two adjacent layers of elastic bandage should be overlapped by about two-thirds, otherwise the bandage will not be easily flattened and removed every night before going to sleep. The color of the skin of the limb and the swelling of the affected limb should be observed daily during the use of the elastic bandage in order to observe its effect.
