What medicine to take for children with fever

The most common triggers of recurrent fever in children are viral infections, bacterial infections, mixed bacterial-viral infections, and mycoplasma infections. When the triggering factors persist, the child will have recurrent fever, and antipyretic drugs generally only maintain a normal body temperature for 4 to 6 hours or even less. When the body temperature is maintained at about 38°C, physical cooling is used in conjunction with warm towels to wipe the armpits, forehead, groin, front chest and back. Children who do not cooperate can put on antipyretic patches, drink more water, and use herbal medicines to clear fever and detoxify the body, all of which are helpful in reducing fever. Diarrhea may accompany the medication. Give probiotics in time, or the diarrhea will be relieved after stopping the medication. When the body temperature exceeds 38.5 ℃, the baby appears drowsy, irritable, crying symptoms, need to promptly reduce fever, the most commonly used antipyretic drugs are ibuprofen and acetaminophen. If the hands and feet are cold at this time, you should rub hot hands and feet or use a warm water bag to warm the hands and feet in time to prevent high body temperature from causing hyperthermia. Any fever is triggered by factors, repeated fever for more than 24 hours, need to check the blood routine. The body temperature will be normalized only when the triggering factors are eliminated with symptomatic treatment.
