Can people with cervical spondylosis exercise?

Can cervical spondylosis be relieved by exercise? If the patient has symptoms of nerve or spinal cord compression or dizziness, it is not recommended to exercise until these symptoms are slowly reduced or disappear. If the patient only has soreness or painful numbness in the muscles at the back of the neck, functional exercises can be performed, such as doing cervical exercises, practicing head tilting movements in the office; in daily life, swimming, kite flying and other exercises are all possible. How should the intensity of exercise be mastered? The principle of exercise is that the patient’s symptoms should not be aggravated in the process of exercise. For example, if the patient’s arm goes numb during swimming, he should stop immediately, which means that the patient has stimulated the nerve or spinal cord in the process of the activity. If the patient feels comfortable and relaxed after exercise, then the amount of exercise is more appropriate, or the patient needs to adjust their own exercise according to the principle of not aggravating the symptoms.
