The symptoms of skin infection with Staphylococcus aureus are small papules or pustules on the skin surface, some of which can form bright red vesicles after scratching. If the scratched area is deeper, shallow ulcers can be formed, and there is yellow plasma or purulent exudate on the surface of the vesicles and ulcers. Local lymph nodes may be swollen, and systemic manifestations such as generalized hyperthermia, malaise, and lethargy may occur. If not well controlled, it may cause bacteraemia or sepsis.
