Precautions after minimally invasive occlusion of ventricular septal defect and atrial septal defect

  1. Dislodgement of the blocker. We evaluate the process and effect of blocker release through esophageal ultrasound at the time of surgery and also review the cardiac ultrasound before discharge. Generally speaking, the risk of dislodgement is very low, but there is no guarantee that it will not happen 100%, so each child is asked not to do too strenuous exercise in the first three months. The endothelium of the heart is not completely covered by the blocker within three months after the operation, and the blood contacting the blocker may stimulate the clotting mechanism to form thrombus, therefore, oral aspirin 3-5 mg/kg is required for three months to six months when there is no contraindication, and if there is a contraindication to oral aspirin, pansentin can also be used. 3.Atrioventricular block. The edge of the defect is close to the conduction bundle, and the release of the blocker may affect the conduction bundle. Although the chance of occurrence is low, early or late AV block may still occur. In the event of an intraoperative second-degree or higher or third-degree AV block, the surgeon will switch to open-chest extracorporeal circulation for repair. If the child suddenly develops syncope and chest tightness after discharge, he/she should contact us promptly. The treatment is to take out the blocker and surgically repair the defect. 4. The stitches are removed about 10 days after surgery, and topical medications to reduce tissue growth, such as Shu Shu, are applied from about 2 weeks. In case of abnormalities such as redness, swelling, oozing, and bulging of the incision, you need to contact me or go to the local hospital for timely treatment. 5.If there is no abnormality after surgery, return to the hospital 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year after surgery to review the cardiac ultrasound, ECG, and chest X-ray if necessary. Call 020-83062331,83062330 half a month before coming to hospital to make an appointment for cardiac ultrasound. 6.Vaccination is recommended to start half a year after the operation.
