Some patients may experience vaginal bleeding after hysteroscopy due to bleeding and exudation from the trauma and endothelial shedding. If the bleeding is prolonged and heavy, prompt medical attention should be sought. Continued anti-inflammatory therapy is not always required after hysteroscopy and should be followed at the discretion of the surgeon. Some patients (e.g., patients with uterine adhesions and post-operative septum) require timely postoperative follow-up hysteroscopy for intrauterine conditions, and such patients should be seen regularly and their postoperative medications should be adjusted in a timely manner. To avoid the occurrence of postoperative infections, intercourse, bathing and swimming, which are likely to cause intrauterine infections, should be avoided for a period of time after hysteroscopy.
