Pulmonary infections in adults are usually infused over several days

The duration of infusion therapy after lung infection in adults is related to its pathogen and cannot be generalized. Adult lung infection is a kind of pneumonia. If it is a common bacterial infection, the general infusion time is 5-7 days; if it is a special bacterial infection, such as mycoplasma infection or Staphylococcus aureus infection, the infusion time is slightly longer, generally about 2 weeks. At this time, the patient’s body temperature can be normalized, the number of coughs is reduced, the sputum is reduced or the sputum color becomes normal, and the respiratory rate gradually returns to normal. However, its does not mean that this type of pneumonia is completely cured, because the inflammatory infiltration and absorption of some pneumonia is slow, and the absorption of some flakes is faster, which can present the phenomenon of pseudocavitation, so most patients can be completely absorbed only after 3-4 weeks from the start of the disease. In addition, patients are advised not to stop infusion therapy without permission, which may lead to drug resistance and recurrence of the disease.
