Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is one of the most common clinically acquired prone to embolism. Antiphospholipid antibodies are one of the criteria for the diagnosis of APS. Current guidelines recommend that at least one antibody be tested positive on two occasions and that the interval between tests be greater than 12 weeks to be meaningful. The main manifestations are: unexplained lower extremity deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. Ischemic stroke in young patients. Unexplained thrombosis during pregnancy. and recurrent miscarriages greater than 3 in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy.
