Pinworm vaginitis may produce inflammatory reactions such as vaginal redness, swelling, heat, and pain, which require physical examination and laboratory tests. 1. Physical examination: observe whether there is flushing and rupture of the perineal skin, mucosal congestion at the vulva-vaginal orifice and urethra, and adhesions of the labia minora. 2. Laboratory tests: perform routine blood and urine tests and vulvar examination. Pinworm eggs can be examined by the transparent adhesive paper swab method, and if the result is negative, three consecutive examinations are required. Subsequently, the infection is graded according to the number of pinworm eggs examined under the microscope.
