It is composed of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Aromatica (prepared), Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Rhizoma Ligustici, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Herba Cuttlebone and Rhizoma Polygonati. It can be used in treating subluxation of menstruation caused by dampness-heat subluxation (invasion of the intestines, bladder, pubic region and lower limbs by dampness and heat evils). Symptoms include profuse, yellowish, thick, foul-smelling discharge, flushing, burning, swelling and pain in the vagina, redness in urine, dryness and bitterness in the mouth, abdominal distension and nausea (lack of appetite and reduced food intake), and sticky and unpleasant stools; and mild vulvovaginitis, senile vaginitis, etc. when the above symptoms are seen. The adverse effects are not clear. This medicine should not be taken at the same time with cold and flu medicines.
