In clinical work, I often encounter some patients or family members who say, “It’s okay to have a scar, it’s not ……. anyway. Whenever this happens, I always patiently explain to them that it is because you do not understand what scar is. The scar is the mechanism of trauma healing, as long as there is trauma healing, there will be scar proliferation, especially deep trauma healing, always accompanied by scar proliferation, generally within 3-6 months after the trauma healing, scar proliferation is the most obvious and rapid, the scar symptoms at this time is also the most significant: the color becomes darker, high skin, pain, itching and other discomfort, serious cases will affect the patient’s normal life, work, rest, some people Some people, especially children, will not be able to restrain themselves from scratching with their nails, leading to breakouts. This is the reason why I say they don’t understand what scarring is. Treatment of scarring: You must not wait until the scarring symptoms are serious and high up the skin to treat it, it is a little late. It must be treated early and standardized. There are many methods and drugs for treating scarring, and they vary from hospital to hospital, so I will not talk about them anymore. Here I will just talk about them in terms of classification. At present, the most effective method is recognized as silicone drugs with physical compression, but of course, since the drugs are updated especially fast and new drugs are coming out all the time, as to which one is the most effective, I dare not say. For the treatment of scars, the method and persistence are equally important. For now, the standardized scar treatment must not be less than 6 months, and at the same time, communicate more with your primary care physician during the treatment process, and always deal with some problems that you overlook. Don’t forget, sometimes, small details lead to big consequences!
