Is a retroverted uterus a natural condition?

Not necessarily. Congenital malformation of the uterus or dysplasia of the ligaments that maintain the position of the uterus can lead to congenital retroversion of the uterus, but some acquired factors, such as poor recovery of the uterus after childbirth, injury from multiple deliveries, compression by tumours in the body of the uterus, pelvic inflammatory disease and prolonged bed rest after childbirth, can also cause the uterus to tilt backwards and cause retroversion.
