What are the symptoms of OCD?

The basic symptoms of OCD are obsessive-compulsive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
Obsessive-compulsive ideas include obsessive-compulsive thoughts, obsessive-compulsive emotions, and obsessive-compulsive intentions.
       I. Obsessive-compulsive thoughts include the following four aspects.
       1.Obsessive suspicion
       2, compulsive exhaustive thinking
       3, compulsive association
       4, compulsive representations
       Second, compulsive emotions.
It is manifested as worrying or disgusting about something, knowing that it is unnecessary or unreasonable, but one cannot get rid of it. For example, worrying about hurting others, worrying about saying the wrong thing, worrying about irrational behavior, worrying about being contaminated by toxic substances or bacteria, etc.
       Third, compulsive intention.
The patient repeatedly experiences a strong inner urge to do some kind of action or behavior against his or her will. The patient knows that it is absurd and impossible to do so, and tries to control himself not to do it, but he cannot get rid of this inner impulse. For example, when walking to a high place, there is an inner urge to jump down; when walking to the river with their beloved child in their arms, there is an intention to throw the child into the river, etc.
  Compulsive behaviors include the following.
       1. Compulsive examination.
It is a measure taken by the patient to reduce the anxiety caused by compulsive suspicion. Such as repeatedly checking whether the doors and windows are closed when going out, repeatedly checking the contents of the letter when sending it to see if the wrong word is written, etc.
       2. Compulsive cleaning.
Patients often repeatedly wash their hands, bathe or wash their clothes in order to eliminate the fear of contamination by dirt, poison or bacteria. Some patients not only wash themselves repeatedly, but also require people living with him, such as spouses, children, parents, etc. must also be thoroughly cleaned in accordance with his requirements.
       3. Compulsive questioning.
OCD patients often do not believe in themselves. In order to eliminate the anxiety caused by doubt or exhaustion to the patient, often repeatedly ask others to give explanations or reassurance.
       4, compulsive ritual actions.
This is a number of recurring actions, others seem unreasonable or ridiculous, but can reduce or prevent the tension and anxiety caused by compulsive ideas. For example, when the patient leaves the house, he must take two steps forward and then one step backward before walking out the door.
       5. Compulsive retardation.
For example, repeatedly grooming for a long time after waking up makes the patient late for going out, so that he or she is often late for work. When reading a book, some patients often stop their eyes at the first word of the first line and cannot read the following contents smoothly.
