Dermatofacial chalazion; impingement correction; ptosis; small lid opening; post-operative eyelid trauma Features: The skin is the body’s first line of defense against pathogenic bacteria. Injuries to the skin that are deeper and reach the dermis, heal poorly, or become inflamed can stimulate the generation of scar tissue. Scarring on the face and around the eyes can affect the appearance. Precautions: (1) Keep the wound dry and clean (2) Do not touch dirty or hot water (3) Do not touch the wound with your hands if the area is itchy during healing (4) Do not overeat or stay up late. (5) Clean the wound with sterile eye drops or saline; if the wound is dirty, you can use “Aner’s iodine” to scrub the wound but never get into the eyes. (6) It is recommended to go to hospital for surgical dressing change every 2 days. (7) If the local redness and swelling persist after the wound has healed, go to the hospital. (8) You can continue to use “Betsy’s Mark” or “Mepro” for several months after the wound surface heals or one week after the stitches are removed to reduce scarring. Stitch removal time: Eyelid surgery usually takes 7 to 10 days. 10 to 14 days for trichiasis surgery. Microlidoplasty 21 days. Ptosis correction surgery 7 to 10 days.
