How to treat advanced lung cancer conservatively

Patients with advanced bronchial lung cancer lose the opportunity for surgery due to the presence of lymph node metastases and metastases to distant organs. Current clinical treatments for patients with advanced bronchopulmonary cancer include systemic chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc.

Patients with advanced bronchopulmonary cancer are those with clinical stage III or IV, and surgery for such patients will instead shorten the patient’s survival. Therefore, surgery is not recommended for patients. The usual treatments for advanced bronchial patients are as follows.

1. systemic chemotherapy, usually platinum + another drug, depending on the type of bronchial lung cancer. 2. radiotherapy, local radiotherapy can slow down the progression of bronchial lung cancer and also the progression of metastases. 3. targeted therapy, patients with bronchial lung adenocarcinoma can use targeted therapy if there is a suitable target after genetic testing. Immunotherapy is a more cutting-edge treatment method. A series of tests are needed to determine if there are specific indications.
