How to treat pulmonary herpes

Pulmonary herpes can be treated in different ways according to the severity, as follows: 1, the milder ones are asymptomatic, can be treated conservatively and observed regularly, can review chest X-ray to see if the pulmonary herpes has aggravated; 2, the severe ones can be treated surgically, currently the majority of pulmonary herpes surgical treatment can be done under TV thoracoscopy. If a large pulmonary blister is found during surgery, a lung wedge can be performed at the base of normal lung tissue to completely remove the pulmonary blister. If smaller or near the hilum that is difficult to remove completely, pulmonary bullae can be treated with ligation, sutures or electrocoagulation cautery. Pulmonary herpes located inside the deep lung tissue, unless there is a huge or co-infection, generally do not do treatment, because the location of pulmonary herpes is deeper, close to the location of blood vessels and trachea, it is difficult to handle surgically, there may be more serious complications; 3, combined with recurrent pneumothorax of patients with pulmonary herpes, it is recommended to perform pleural fixation at the same time, in order to produce pleural cavity adhesions and prevent recurrence of pneumothorax, pleural fixation methods are mainly wall pleural friction fixation, wall pleurodesis fixation and chemical fixation, etc.
