The literature reports that the majority of women with infertility have a combination of abnormal intrauterine lesions, including endometrial polyps, uterine adhesions, uterine malformations, submucosal fibroids, and endometrial dysplasia. How can these abnormalities be detected? The results of routine hysteroscopy in 1000 infertility cases were summarized by an expert, suggesting that the uterine cavity was normal in 62% of cases, endometrial polyps in 32%, and submucosal fibroids and uterine adhesions in 3% each. Since lesions in the uterine cavity directly affect pregnancy, hysteroscopy is proposed as a safe and effective examination. In recent years, with the increasing development of hysteroscopic instruments and techniques, it has been widely used in clinical practice. In the examination and treatment of female infertility, the combination of hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic surgery can detect microscopic lesions in the uterine cavity and surgically treat some benign intrauterine lesions. So who are suitable for hysteroscopy? According to a large sample survey, hysteroscopy is the most important intervention for infertility patients who are still infertile after eliminating tubal, ovulation and male factors, who have a history of repeated miscarriages, and who have repeatedly failed to conceive with IUI or IVF. Further studies have also shown that the clinical pregnancy rate is significantly higher in patients with hysteroscopic findings of cavity abnormalities and appropriate treatment. 2. Hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic tubal lavage have been carried out in our department, and promising clinical results have been achieved. The main advantages are: minimally invasive, safe, intuitive and efficient. Especially for patients with proximal tubal obstruction, hysteroscopic intubation with pressure and drug injection and lavage is used to avoid X-ray exposure and to unblock the fallopian tubes, which is supplemented with drug to achieve the ideal treatment effect. However, hysteroscopy, as an invasive examination and treatment, should be strictly controlled for indications and contraindications. It is recommended to visit a regular hospital; find a professional doctor you can trust; the doctor will develop an effective treatment plan according to the specific situation of each couple’s infertility.
