Causes of pain in the left scalp are as follows.
Skin infection (usually caused by a hair follicle infection) or trauma, which needs to be checked in hospital.
If the infection is not serious, topical application of iodophor is sufficient. If it is more extensive or if topical medication alone is not effective, oral antibiotic treatment may be given.
The pain can usually be gradually reduced with effective treatment.
