Repair of cranial defects

Cranial defects are often caused by severe fractures and trauma to the head and face. Due to the lack of protection of the skull, the dura mater is in direct contact with the skin, and the localized collapse is susceptible to extrusion, collision, and other craniocerebral injuries, which causes inconvenience to the patient’s work and life. We use “personalized titanium plate to repair cranial defects” to design the shape of the titanium plate before surgery using computer-aided imaging and conformation, and then a professional manufacturer produces a titanium plate that perfectly matches the patient’s skull, which is then surgically inserted into the titanium plate to repair the cranial defect. Since the titanium plate is designed exactly according to the shape of the patient’s skull, both the shape and function of the plate are very satisfactory after the surgery, making it an ideal method of repairing cranial defects.
