What is an orofacial lift surgery?

Pre-operative precautions: 1. Patients without bleeding disorders and active or progressive diseases of the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys and other important organs, such as those suffering from hypertension, diabetes or infectious diseases, need to have surgery after their conditions are under control. 2, Long-term users of steroid hormones and aspirin and other drugs should preferably stop using them one week before surgery, please consult the relevant doctor. 3.Suspension of surgery is recommended for those who have the following lip conditions: the presence of oral ulcers, folliculitis and other foci of infection in the lip, acute inflammation, etc. 4.Since the corner of the mouth is a movable part, the postoperative incision scar is prone to proliferation, so the surgery is currently mainly for those with obvious drooping of the corner of the mouth in a static state. 5.Please avoid the menstrual period for female patients; suspend the surgery during the pre-pregnancy period (3 months) and the late pregnancy period (3 months). 6.Since slight local swelling may last for 2-3 months or even half a year after surgery, the lip shape is slightly less natural at this time, so please consider avoiding important social occasions during this period when arranging the surgery. Anesthesia: Local anesthesia + nerve block anesthesia: local anesthetic injection at the surgical site, no additional charge. Intravenous general anesthesia: for long surgery time, many sites, or poor pain tolerance, intravenous administration, no tracheal intubation, additional charge. Pre-operative preparation: 1, routine examination: (can be done on the day of surgery, local anesthesia without fasting, intravenous general anesthesia fasting laboratory tests; foreign patients to save time can also be completed in advance in the local tertiary hospital, valid for 3 months) local anesthesia surgery: routine blood, urinary routine, coagulation four, cosmetic immune four (hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, AIDS); intravenous general anesthesia surgery: the above six items, liver and kidney function, fasting 2. normal diet for those who choose local anesthesia, 6 hours of fasting and 4 hours of water fasting for those who choose intravenous general anesthesia assisted 3. preoperative area cleanliness, short nose hair and beard cut, no makeup 4. postoperative medication preparation: pain medication (the night after surgery), swelling medication (within 1 week after surgery), mouthwash (within 1 week after surgery), anti-scar ointment (starting 5 days after stitch removal), anti-inflammatory medication (if necessary) postoperative Precautions: 1.Ice the lip for 30-60 minutes immediately after surgery, and ice it 3-4 times a day for 30-60 minutes for 3 days afterwards 2.If there is no special delivery, antibiotics may be unnecessary. The day of surgery or the 1st day after surgery may be more painful, if necessary, you can take painkillers before going to bed. 3.On the postoperative diet: enter cold liquid food on the day after surgery, try to eat slightly soft food within 1 week, avoid tobacco, alcohol, fish and shrimp, spicy and stimulating food, and gargle with mouthwash after meals. 4. Avoid overly exaggerated expressions on the lips within 1 week, speak as little as possible, avoid laughing as well as yawning with force. You can brush your teeth, but pay attention to gently and do not touch the wound. 5.The stitches will be removed 5 days after surgery (or as prescribed by the doctor). 6.Oedema, bruising and bruising in the post-operative area are normal phenomena. Most of them will gradually subside after 1-2 weeks. If you find swelling and bruising or increased pain, bleeding, etc., please contact your doctor immediately. 7, edema may occur when the individual sutures may fall off, generally does not cause the wound to open, so there is no need to panic, the sutures can be withdrawn. In the unlikely event of a wound split, please contact the doctor immediately. 8.After surgery, local numbness or dullness of sensation in the lips may occur, which usually recovers gradually in about six months. 9.The final result can be evaluated after 3 months after surgery. If there is local undercorrection or overcorrection, asymmetry or local dissatisfaction, it can be repaired after 3 months. 10.Prevention and treatment about incision scar: the corner of the mouth is an active part, in order to prevent stimulation of scar proliferation, avoid exaggerated expressions when eating, laughing and speaking, apply erythromycin ointment to keep the incision moist within 10 days, and apply topical anti-scar ointment from 5 days after stitch removal for about 3 months continuously. If a raised surface dense hyperplastic scar appears, it can be softened by local steroid hormone injection (once a month); it usually fades gradually in 3 months to half a year, eventually presenting flat or depressed softened scar traces, if it is still more obvious it can be further weakened by laser. 11. Please contact the doctor for follow-up after six months.
