What’s the reason for being hungry and having cold sweats when you have diabetes?

If you have diabetes but are hungry and have a cold sweat, you may be experiencing hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia can occur easily in people with diabetes when the dose of hypoglycemic medication is too high, or when there is an increase in consumption without a corresponding increase in intake. When hypoglycemia occurs, the heart may beat faster, often accompanied by a series of symptoms such as panic, hand tremors, hunger, cold sweats, and may even cause coma. When hypoglycemia symptoms occur, it is recommended to immediately replenish sugary foods, such as chocolate, candy, sugary drinks, cookies, etc. Unconscious hypoglycemic patients should be supplemented with glucose intravenously. If symptoms of hypoglycemia persist and cannot be relieved by supplementation of sugary foods, it is recommended to go to the hospital.
