The T-cell test for tuberculosis infection, also known as the T-SPOT.TB test, is an important screening indicator in the clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis. The presence of TB infection and a (+) T-cell test is indicative of a tendency to TB infection. Most TB infections present with a series of clinical symptoms such as low-grade fever, malaise, and night sweats. Tuberculosis at different sites is accompanied by other specific symptoms, such as pulmonary tuberculosis with cough, sputum, or even hemoptysis, dyspnea and other clinical symptoms. The diagnosis of common tuberculosis is more difficult, sometimes the sputum test is (-) and the lung CT symptoms are atypical, then the help of T-cell test for tuberculosis infection should be involved, if the T-cell test is (+), then it has some diagnostic significance.
