What is the t-cell test for tuberculosis infection?

The full name of the TB infection T-cell test is TB infection interferon release test, which is used as an important basis for the diagnosis of TB infection. The results of the test can be used as a reference basis for Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, but to determine whether Mycobacterium tuberculosis causes morbidity, a comprehensive analysis combined with other items is required. In the traditional clinical diagnosis of tuberculosis, bacterial culture and antacid staining of sputum smear are commonly used to find Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Such diagnostic sensitivity is low, easily leads to missed detection, and cannot effectively distinguish between dead and live bacteria, which easily leads to an increased rate of misdiagnosis of tuberculosis. The T-cell test for TB infection, however, is a new way to diagnose TB infection at this stage, and has the advantage of relatively high sensitivity and specificity compared with the traditional tuberculin test. The principle of the test is that the human body is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and has long-term memory T lymphocytes. If the T-cell test for TB infection is positive, it means that the patient has been infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but further examination and observation are needed, and if only this test is positive, no special treatment can be given.
