Ischemic cerebral white matter lesions are one of the types of cerebral white matter lesions, and current research suggests that hypertension, ischemic stroke, and cognitive decline are associated with them. Most patients with ischemic leukoencephalopathy may also have no obvious clinical manifestations in the early stages and may develop symptoms such as cognitive decline as the disease worsens.
