Flesh nevus generally refers to pigmented nevus, which forms a mass of nevus cells due to some pigment cells gathering in the epidermis, superficial dermis and other parts of the body during embryonic development. Most of the nevi are benign, but when there are symptoms such as rapid increase in size in a short period of time and localized itching and ulceration, it is necessary to be alert to the possibility of malignant changes.
Patients generally do not have obvious special discomfort, only manifested as a local skin with a soft protuberance. Surgical excision is recommended for nevi with a diameter larger than 5mm. For patients with a diameter of less than 5mm and flat on the skin, physical therapy such as laser can be used.
