1. Hypoparathyroidism: It can be classified as temporary or permanent, and their clinical manifestations are both hypocalcemia. For temporary hypocalcemia, calcium supplements can be given as indicated, while for permanent hypoparathyroidism, long-term vitamin D and calcium supplements are required, and those who cannot be corrected may require parathyroid hormone (PTH) supplementation or parathyroid transplantation. 2. Hoarseness and difficulty in speaking: Most patients have temporary hoarseness and difficulty in speaking caused by edema of the nerve that controls vocalization due to stimulation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve during surgery, which can be recovered after the edema is eliminated.
