Many common chemotherapy drugs such as platinum, 5-fluorouracil and mitomycin can cause nausea and vomiting in patients, so anti-emetic drugs such as intravenous ondansetron, ondansetron and granisetron or oral anti-emetic drugs are often given to alleviate the patient’s symptoms.
