Does inflammation of the penis heal on its own?

Inflammation of the penis mainly includes glansitis, prepuce and inflammation of the corpus cavernosum of the penis.
If it is mild, it can heal itself by improving lifestyle habits such as washing underwear regularly, bathing regularly, washing the foreskin cavity, washing the perineum after defecating to keep the skin of the pubic area and the head of the penis hygienic and dry, avoiding behaviour that damages the penis, and strengthening the immune system.
However, if there is severe redness, swelling, heat, pain and discharge from the foreskin and glans, a routine blood test and a discharge test are required to confirm the cause and give oral or antibiotic symptomatic treatment to improve the condition. Inflammation of the corpus cavernosum needs to be treated with sedative antibiotics or physiotherapy if it does not improve through self-healing.
